Diagnostics of celiac disease
It is difficult to name a more secretive disease than celiac disease. It masquerades as various diseases, none of its symptoms can be considered specific, indicating this particular disease. Moreover, we will not find all significant symptoms in any patient with celiac disease. Meanwhile, if celiac disease is not diagnosed and a gluten-free diet is not started, then the disease will progress, causing more and more symptoms, turning into formidable complications that can even lead to death. At the same time, a complete rejection of gluten upsets the balance of iron, vitamins and calcium, and this also greatly undermines health.
So is gluten our friend or enemy?
